so make a 3-D version then. But make a good one. I don't think 2-D is really that much of niche -- unless it is a niche of people who prefer good game play, lots of times games are actually worse in 3-D because they focus to hard in making the game in super-cool 3-D than they do in actually making the game fun and playable.

Fighting games made up 4.6% of sales in 2006. ESA Lots more 3-D fighters than 2-D fighters nowadays. The niche for 2-D fighters is getting smaller and smaller and hardcore. I'd really hate if Capcom's big announcement was for Streetfighter EX 4.

Wow!!!!!! I can't believe it. Bionic Commando is one of my favorite games ever. I wouldn't have minded a 2d sequel, but I'm even more excited about this. I think this is one game that could go 3D really really well.

Kind of sucks for Capcom that somebody leaked the news to Gamespot early, but at least it definitely does qualify as HUGE news.
