I use two screens and have normally two ( to four) tables on the small one and 6 on the big one. It's much easier for me if I see all tables without overlay. Using bet pot script, table mod and auto reload for Full Tilt, good help if you play much.

Still looking for those things for Stars, though...

Bet Pot For Stars

Stars Reloader

Stars Buddy List

The Buddy list is a little complicated but I love it, it automatically pulls names from a text file and uses the lobby search function to find people you want to play with again, then it lists them and will open the table they are on with a push of a button.

The re-load thing is kind of a pain because if you have more than a buy-in on a table it pops up this useless window that tells you that you cannot buy in for more. It would be awesome if it automatically reloaded you to a full stack also. I think it just does the recommended but I can't remember because I quit using it because of those useless windows it pops up.

I stack on stars and ft. I like to have the tables larger than default size, I'm old and can't see. On UB I offset stack them diagonally(cascade?) becuase of the focus steal issue. Basically, so I can't click fold or bet pot buttons on a table I wasn't intending to.

Hey Mike Kelley, thanks a lot for that!

Don't want to hijack that thread, but I downloaded that Bet Pot script now and can change the betting amount by scrolling so far. Can you maybe explain me how to attach calling, bettign etc to special keys on the keyboard?
If not no problem, I ll simply have to go to that big software thread on my own then.
Again, thanks a lot!

Can anybody provide a link for a video of stacked tables, so I can see if it would work for me?

TIA,
Arras

Re: Screen layout for multiple tables?

I hate overlap and I hate resizing so my layouts over the years are as follows.

I started with a 15" CRT. I would have just one stack of 8-12 tables.

Pros: Just make +EV decisions. Don't ever see results as they happen. No constant head movement. No constant mouse movement.

Cons: You don't get to see what others are doing. Who is on tilt etc. Assuming you run for bathroom breaks, you will usually time out on one or two tables. You have to minimize each table in the stack to find it etc. Its annoying.

Then when I got two 20" LCD's, I changed to 4 stacks on the left monitor, each 2 deep = 8 total tables. I would put the other 4 tables on the right screen.

Pros: You get to observe many more hands of others and see who is on tilt etc. Make notes of bad/weird plays.

Cons: Constant head movement and mouse movement across two screens, tires me.

So my compromise is that I have gone back to 4 stacks, each 3 deep on one monitor. I will just put a movie, the lobby, Winamp, MSN on the vacant monitor.

Also 1000 posts yay

Ever since CMAR (I think) explained both stars and FTP stack properly (so the active one is always at the top), I have one stack per site, unless watching a specific table (when there's a megadonator, for example).

Does it not work if you mix Stars and FTP tables in the same stack?

One more note on stacking is this. Be careful with minimizing any tables in a stack, b/c they won't wait behind the active (top) table. They will just appear when an action is needed and this can of course cause misclicks. The FTP play money tables are great for testing out any of these different kinds of display setups b/c they let you play on 12 tables. Test there first.

I have 12 tables on my laptop, no over lap all on 1 screen.

I'll take a quick video, upload it and post the link on youtube in a few minutes

I just tile on Stars on my 17" laptop. Works for me. 3 rows of 4.
