3) you can "practice" against bad players too. Try practicing better table selection.

Well, these guys are harder to get money out of than the average NL10 player.
I donīt mind playing more reasonable players every now and then before I move up.

I... I just dont understand. Try and make lots of money, like as much as possible. If this isnt already your primary focuse then this is what you need to be "practicing". You will play against nits plenty in your time playing poker, its inevitable. They will often be sitting in your otherwise good game taking up seats and playing the occasional hands. You will learn to play against them. For god's sake dont go out of your way to play against them.

Well, "every now and then" is the keyword here.
I try to figure out how to change my game with different kinds of players around, different styles of play being dominant in the majority of opponents. That certainly is one aspect of getting more skilled.

I dont think making lots of money is possible @ 10NL, not serious money anyway - enough to live on. Maybe he views NL10 as a stepping stone to higher limits where rewards are bigger, or maybe he plays for fun as a competative challenge. So why not play against nits if thats what floats his boat? Might be a good learning exercise, no?

I'll stay at tables with a couple of guys who are tough/better than me, not because it's +EV, but because it's satisfying when I do well against them. There's lots of reasons to play poker, not just financial rewards.

YEah, I guess.

Heres the thing. Up until you get to 100NL almost all of your money is made just beating up on the bad players. Even at NL100 (and keep in mind I havent been playing there that long yet) most of your money is made beating up on the bad players and you make a little money trapping or restealing vs the aggro regulars.

I cant speak for the higher levels as I havent played them yet, but you can make a fairly large amount of money at the lower levels beating up on the bad players. THAT is the skill that will win for you, and for the next couple levels its the skill that you will most need to work on.

Yeah, thatīs the main aspects.

For one, if I always play at tables where people are playing so badly that the correct line for TPGK is to bet-bet-bet, I can hardly improve playing this tricky hand. I would like to learn that before I move up.

Another reason is that I understand that one of my flaws is not adopting to different styles of play enough. Often enough, I find myself making bad c-bets at really lose tables, or else I wait for good flops in tight-passive games. So I am looking for a change occasionaly.

And last but not least, even though I want to move up, I am here for good sports in the present time as well.
I feel like, "ah well ok, they are folding a lot before the flop, there must be a way how to cope with that."
