split the percentage based on number of hands. if you played 9k hands, and you buddy played 1k hands, you get 90% of profits.

You could split it like blackjack teams do. They take into account hours and some things you might not have to worry about (visibility, scouting, etc.). That has it's own problems- read about the MIT blackjack team and see how 'well' working as a team can work out.

Trying to take skill into account will cause additional problems. Why should the weak players believe they deserve less-especially when they run good for a month and the "better" players run bad. Will you take results into the equation? How will you quantify skill? (In Blackjack, team members are constantly being tested on keeping count and related adjustments) Are you going to put the group bankroll in jepardy if one player has a tilt session?

This is just asking for trouble in the future I fear.

there's some merit to it.

but everyone in the history of the universe who has tried to implement it has sucked at poker to some degree, which leads to the inevitable failure.

well thanks for the answers, please stop blaming the win rates becaue it is completly irrelevant (there is no difference if 2 of us earn 1000$ an hour and the others 500$ or 10$ and 5$).

Did none of you ever shared your bankroll?
Does anyone know how the "New World Order" agreed to share their profit against Andy Beal?
I would be pleased for further comments , even when I am aware of the fact that its hard to develop a system which threats everybody completley equal

how many times do you need to hear that this is a bad idea?

a better way to share a bank roll would be to divide everything up and have each person play on personal bankrolls. everyone keeps what they win. if one person hits a bad streak everyone pitches in a portion to stake him with no juice. then he pays everyone back when his bankroll gets back to normal. you can all play higher than your personal bankroll would normally allow since you actually have more money behind.

you'll all be playing out of the same bankroll essentially but at the same time everyone is reward based on their skill.

example:

between the 5 of you, you have $1000.

each of you takes $200. normally this would put you at $0.05/0.10. assuming you're all winning players though you would be fine playing $0.10/0.25. if one person gets low have everyone else ship him $25 or whatever.
