This is actually one reason I don't keep a massive bankroll online.

Neteller went up in smoke for Americans (although money eventually returned WAAY later), at this point I don't think any online gambling site is immune from the same fate.

I'd lose a lot of money and be very upset about it, but I wouldn't be in a financial disaster. I could easily pay my bills, etc for a very long time without anything coming in. I'd probably just take some time off and let the dust settle, and if online poker was never coming back start planning for the future. Not sure what that'd be at this point, but I'd get something going eventually. A job, active stock trading, real estate, opening a small business, something.

You should never leave most of your net worth online, ever! I learnt this the hard way, did a money transfer with a guy a couple years ago. Turned out that the money he sent me was from a stolen CC and they froze my account and confiscated everything, cause they said I was in on it. I had most of my $$ online and had built it from scratch, took me 2 years to get back to where I was.

These sites don't just have to close shop for you to lose your money. They can confiscate your money for whatever reason they deem reaonable, and you can't do anything about it. So don't leave more than you need online. You don't need the 30 or 40 buyins to play your limit in the accout. Cash out regularly and put it in a seperate savings account meant for your roll, and reload from there if necessary.

Was pondering earlier considering that I have more online that I have in real world, and my online acct has more than my car is worth...what if, (HIGHLY unlikely) but what if every site suddenly was gone and all the funds you have online were gone...what would you do? How much would you lose? What would you do with your time?
