i like the idea of a bet here. I notice that often in these types of games a check on flop bet on turn from SB/BB gets much more respect than if i just bet out. its like they can't put you on a high Queen or FH cause you would SURELY have checked it.
added bonus is someone could be slowplaying a queen and decide he has his 'fish' and raise you.

bet and hope to get raised by one of the donks

I'm not only betting but three-betting if raised. Does anyone disagree with the three-bet?

You should definitely bet here. In fact, you are really hoping someone has a garbage queen and will play back.

I only disagree with a 3-bet if the raise comes from directly to your right (including those times everyone between you and the raiser fold). Depending on who's left, I would then bet out again or c/r the turn.

When players flop big hands, like 3 queens, their instinct is to slowplay (as indicated earlier in the thread). I really hope that they all call the flop and the Q raises the turn. A raise on the flop is not as strong as the call/raise play. The raiser is less likely to have a queen: expect KJ, a FD, or something like 88 or AT. These hands are drawing virtually dead. There is no reason to charge their draws, and you don't want to scare them off.

In other words, slow down against flop aggression (unless you have a lot of people coming along with the 2 of you) and go to town against turn aggression.

Poker Field of Dreams: If you bet them and they will come. Occasionally they won't but more often than not you'll get plenty of action. I think Miller said something along the lines of that betting is the best way to encourage action and I heartily agree here.

This is correct.

Bet. Live players are still baffled when you bet out monsters.

If I was raised on this flop (which I doubt would happen), I'd probably call the flop and donk the turn, hoping to get a 3bet in. Personally, I've had a lot of live success with this line.

The much, much more likely course of action is that any Q will raise the turn, and you can get in the 3bet.

Oh god, please, no. If you want to give your hand away so obviously, just flip it over. I always laugh when I see this huge tell; even online it happens morw than you'd think.

Check it down, obviously. Then keep betting it all-in heads-up on the river when a king comes.

Or you could just bet.

Why wouldn’t you bet? You do not even have the nuts on the flop. If somebody has a Qx, do you want to give them a free flop to draw out on you?

if someone had qx they arent checking on the flop
