i think raise/fold is superior

obviously it depends on his range, if he is really tight for 4x-ing here, you are just going to get 4bet insta. in that case, calling is good because you can flop a set and stack his tight range easily.

but probably he has something you are good against. if you raise/fold you lose less to hands that crush you, which is a plus.

raise/fold is without a doubt, the absolute worst of the options possible, falling behind folding to the 1200, and min 3betting.

4k and call a shove would be my standard here, though I dont mind calling.

i sat to apestyles' left for like an hour and a half in a tourney about 2 weeks ago. that was my only experience with him (obvi know who he is though) directly. with that said, he showed down a total of 0 cards.

i vote push/call/raise/fold/call time/time out/sit out next hand/uncheck auto post blinds.

[/ QUOTE ]

so basically when someone is good you just go out of your way to play worse vs them and hand them your chips?

is this implying that we are not really willing to stack off w/ 88 w/o flopping a set post flop in this spot? Cause if it is you guys are crazy.

If you want to raise fold, wait till you have something like J2o that sucks postflop and who cares if he forces you off your huge J2. Why bother wasting a hand as strong as 88 when you have position. and just raise preflop when you either have a strong hand that u can call a push, or total crap.

I'm playing for stacks if we flop an overpair, or have some kind of straight draw.

Im calling when he cbets most flops that aren't ridic scary (i prob just fold AQT or A93hhh boards )

No, it's implying that we call and hit a set every time.
