Picks went 2-2. Filho and Varner both won, Larson and Ledbetter were not so fortunate.

I was pleased that the Varner/Leggett fight went almost exactly as predicted. Leggett came out swinging, and when Varner had weathered that initial storm he was never really in any trouble - technique won out. Those slams were brutal.

I was also happy with my prediction of the Ledbetter/Curran fight. Although he wasn't up to Curran's standards, I didn't think Ledbetter looked like a +300 dog. He showed heart not going down and out after that big left hook early on. If he'd pushed the offence a bit more in the third round, or indeed followed up on the one or two g'n'p opportunities that were presented, then he could've found himself with his arm raised. Ledbetter will be a name I take notice of in the future, though.

Filho didn't look as dominant as I'd hoped. When Doerksen managed to avoid a takedown I was a little bit concerned that it was a bit closer than predicted, but I guess Filho was just finding his feet. Didn't think it would end by TKO, but hopefully he'll look better in the future.

The one thing I didn't adequately factor in for Condit/Larson was Condit's offence (and particularly his submission offence) from the ground. That was a beautiful armbar, and although he took taken down early by Larson, Condit looked aces.

Overall the show was okay. I would've preferred it if one of the title fights had gone a little deeper, but it was perfectly enjoyable!
