hey guys, i'm a complete n00b, i understand the theory of abitrage

but i am completely lost why are some of these arbitrages?

for example:

"
LAD +112 WSEX
NYM -111 Pinny"

is it because it's +EV if you bet both sides?

It is +EV to bet both sides, and even more +EV to bet one side. Why are you surprised that your example is an arbitrage? What do you think arbitrage is, anyway?

Check the FAQ for more on Arbitrage.

If you have questions after reading the arbitrage-related questions/answers/threads linked from the FAQ, then post another thread asking questions.

This thread is for posting arbitrages only, not for questions.

In the example above:

Risk $500 to win $560 on LAD on WSEX
Risk $557.63 to win $502.37 on NYM on Pinnacle

guaranteed profit regardless of outcome (thus the arbitrage): $2.37

arbitrage is like money in the streets, just basic market or in this case sports book inefficiencies that people can take advantage of....

if i had sat down and worked out the math, i wouldn't have posted, i'm sorry guys, i will only read and post arbitrage on this thread from now on,

basically i did the math wrong and didn't think it was an arbitrage opportunity, next time i'll do it 2x

carry on, sorry for the interruption

Soft line on SIA (surprise, surprise)

Navy at Temple
Temple +21.5 -105

Pinny has the other side priced at +115. Good for a 2.32% arb or much better 7.29% ROI for non-hedgers by just betting the SIA side.
