in austin, as everywhere, it depends. both houses are listed for $500,000

first up is a 4Bd, 3.5Ba, 3 car garage. 4119 sqft in the suburbs. property taxes last year were $8,200

this isnt the best neighborhood hence why its so cheap, but there are certain pockets of gated communities with really really sweet houses.
