Re: verizon dsl reliability

I have verizon DSL, and have never had disconnect problems. We also have all fiber optics lines in our area so that may help.

Re: verizon dsl reliability

ive had verizon dsl for over a year and am happy with it. i did have a couple probs getting it set up but CS was quick to fix. so i have no issues with tech support.

everthing loads quickly. i cant tell you the up/down speeds because im tecno-challenged. i dont think ive ever had a disconnect.

my cost is $25 but that may be due to verizon is also my land line carrier.

re: the posters who get disconnects during bad weather, i live in a small city of 25k so the tower is prolly pretty close. also, during ligtning storms, i shut down. everything has surge protecters but its not worth frying a high end CPU and 2 21" LCDs.

re: the poster who had trouble with a slow modem, verizon provided my for free.

Re: verizon dsl reliability

I was very close to getting a T1 line run to my house because my dsl would get so messed up during rainstorms. I have bellsouth (they suck btw, but my only option), so I called them up and bitched about it, and they sent a guy out to make sure the signal was getting to my phone jack as efficiently as possible, and he did some work outside to help with the weather problem. It hasn't gone down since, try that.

Re: verizon dsl reliability

I've had Verizon DSL and Comcast cable and they are about equally reliable.
