Re: Folding AK to a 3bet
If we consider villian's range to be the top 12% of hands, which it very well could be, folding is even more criminal. We're way ahead of his range and he probably sucks postflop. Why are we folding again?

this hand isn't about numbers or Maths or ranges or equity.
It's about [ QUOTE ] Villain is a pretty passive fish. [/ QUOTE ] [ QUOTE ] I have been running 20/19/oo [/ QUOTE ] [ QUOTE ] Preflop: CO(pretty passive fish) raises to $7.00 [/ QUOTE ] Fold is standard. |
Re: Folding AK to a 3bet
Because that's not his 3bet range.

Because that's not his 3bet range. [/ QUOTE ] ah, there we go. i should have caught that. Raising range =/= 3-bet range. Problem solved. equity win tie pots won pots tied Hand 0: 57.181% 42.44% 14.74% 21802231 7571040.00 { JJ+, AQs+, AKo } Hand 1: 42.819% 28.08% 14.74% 14424809 7571040.00 { AsKh } These numbers are more relevant. fold. |
Re: Folding AK to a 3bet
Easy easy fold. I've been looking to muck AK in spots like this and this is the perfect example.
fwiw Fiksdal I think all your strat posts are excellent, keep it up man |
Re: Folding AK to a 3bet
[ QUOTE ]
4-bet or fold. Problem with AK is when an A or K flops, your probably only getting action when your beat. Assuming a weaker Ace is not in his range. [/ QUOTE ] i like this thinking. There are a lot of hands in the top 8 percent but not all of them necessarily 3-bet preflop and as said before not all of them give you action if an A or K flops. EDIT: sorry didnt read the new stove numbers. somehow missed the second page so my post is kind of repetitive. |
