[ QUOTE ] [ QUOTE ] Question with fitting: If you already have irons can you take them somewhere to be re-shafted to for fitting? [/ QUOTE ] You can get all new shafts that are longer, or for a cheaper way, tou can have all the grips removed and have some insert extenders put in and the new grips placed on. [/ QUOTE ] This is not a good idea though. It really detracts from the feel of the clubs. [/ QUOTE ] Most fitters likely would only extend a half inch in this fashion, I would guess anything longer than that the feel gets effected more than you would want....but like I said, it is CHEAPER. |
Re: New Irons...thoughts
good irons are ones where you feel confident... aestetically pleasing and suit your standard of play...

I only ask cause I too am 6'4 and have just gotten irons that were used and tinking i might need to get them longsr.

Re: New Irons...thoughts
If they are standard length, you probly need to extend them up to an inch. If you can afford it, get new shafts put in and have them cut 1 inch long. Otherwise ask someone with experience about extensions.
