Pulled up a random page in Amazon...here's a few interesting sentences..

"If we want to win more pots than just the pots planned by our share of good cards, we have to have the power image. Better yet, we must be the Dominator."

[/ QUOTE ]

thanks for posting those quotes....

are you really judging a book on that first quote? is it that bad a quote?. i'm assuming you thought the quotes were bad, but i guess it's not that clear to me if you meant that.

..... he's basically saying if you're aggressive you can win pots without having strong cards. something i think mr's ivey, greenstein, negreanu etc. understand very well. you need to be somewhat careful and not go overboard. but basically you can win pots two ways (best hand, or everyone has folded)

table of contents looks interesting....

but i don't understand that the 80 page table of contents looks fairly full, but then the amazon page says the book is 416 pages. is one wrong? is the table of contents only its first page?? (most likely the latter)..... can't see how he does 340 more pages, but i guess that's good news, assuming it's true.

It's 416 ages. If you click on the little arrow alongside the page border, it will turn the page and continue the table of contents.

God, I should hook my tables up, even though I don't have that on vinyl. Tons of other good stuff, though.

just received this book today...i sure hope the content is better than the quality of the paper (old and yellowish looking) and the quality of the print (looks like someone printed on a 9-pin dot matrix printer)...I'm sure neither of those are going to be good for the ole eyes trying to read 400+ pages like that...
