I guess my issue is this- its great to mess around with a bunch of games, but there's this little thing called money that you play with, and if your new to the game and not good enough, you're going to lose it, and (counterpoint to playing at microstakes argument) your playing against mostly idiodonks at these leves isnt necessarily going to make you better at whatever game or a better "poker player". I think playing these games against competent opponents is what can make you better at them and a good player, but first you need a roll to do it, and presently i dont have one...and i need to build it up with nlhe because its my best game rite now.

Well that's poker... you do have to have money to play. If you're just getting going with NLHE and trying to put together a roll, it's not like you have to master Omaha8 by tomorrow.

Just answering your original question - yes, I strongly agree with Howard Lederer.
