I was sort of considering a stop n' go, but I noticed that it was only a min raise and BB could likely come along for the ride. I think pushing is the only way to go here, unless you have a read that he's super-tight or something.

Stop and go would be terrible, even if you were the BB closing the action preflop.

I'll let others elaborate on why the S&G is bad with mid pairs.
