i think he reads your hand as a mid pocket pair givne flop/turn action and he probably isn't going to try to bluff you off it with worse hand

if flop came something like J 8 2 w. flush draw and he cbet and turn and riv came off like that then this calldown would be a lot better since its more likely he was semibluffing a draw on flop
