Silva is a BJJ black belt under Big Nog. Lutter may have an advantage on the ground, but it's a slight one. And he didn't exactly dominate those TUF 4 guys. The only way he wins is by divine intervention.

[/ QUOTE ]

Lutter won those fights on TUF with a torn pec muscle, yet was never in trouble. He was healthy when he fought Cote and dominated him. So I think those fights on the show are not the best indicators of his skills.

Anyway, Silva is definitely the clear favorite. All I am saying is that I don't think Lutter will get dominated as quickly as Franklin and Leben.

I've never been, but I have not heard good things. It's near Times Square, which is an immediate negative point. Also, the cover charge is at least $20, and the TVs aren't even that good. You'd probably be better off watching at somebody's apartment. NYC is terrible place for watching PPV's because: a) space is at a very high premium, and b) NY has some weird law that forces bars to pay a ton to legally televise PPV's, which essentially deters any of them from showing them.

Anyone in the Chicago area going to watch this at any of the listed sports bars? A few friends and I are debating about whether to go to a casino (which will hopefully have it) or just staying in the city and finding a sports bar.

I'm looking forward to this one. Cro Cop should have about 20 seconds of work ahead of him and I'm interested in seeing is Silva is as invincible as I once thought Franklin to be. Does anyone know where Eastman has been fighitng recently? I'm assuming that Rampage is the big favourite but he seems to me to have been pretty lacklustre since losing to Wandy way back when.

WFA, and yes, rampage is a big favorite (as he should be, Eastman sucks...don't buy the UFC hype)

i'd never go to a bar to watch a ppv, unless it was a card i could care less about...way too crowded, way too noisy, horrible crowd (anything that isnt a 1st round ko is a boring fight), and you're gonna spend a lot more money than you would if you just split it with a buddy and bought your own beer.

Yeah well hopefully Rampage does better then Herring (LOL). However, I don't know how far he is going to go as I can't really see him beating Lidell or even Ortiz at this point.

He won't fight Ortiz, they're friends and training partners. Beating Liddell is a very real possibility, its all about matchups, and Rampage has the best skillset to do so.

If he beats Eastman, I would imagine a fight with Evans, Jardine, or the winner of a Babalu/Forrest fight (please, ufc, please) would be next

I don't where this myth that Rampage is washed up is coming from. He's only 28 years old and since beating Liddell his only losses are to Wanderlei and Shogun, who are the top 2 205ers in the world.

And let's not forget that Chuck is getting old and becoming injury prone. Rampage would have a ery good chance of beating Chuck again.
