How do you measure randomness?

With three riffles through the deck, how random is the shuffle on a mathematical basis? Also, how many riffles do you need to get a "random" shuffle?

[/ QUOTE ]

Is rifle the technical term here?

I was talking about playing poker the way it was meant to be played. I enjoy all of the pluses of online poker such as multi tabling and the like but why couldn't they have just made the shuffle more human?

It is incredibly hard for a human to deal cards over distances of thousands of miles without each hand taking weeks. That's why I thank my lucky stars for virtual reality hold 'em.
