SirArthur, are you pulling your whole roll out of Bodog?

I'm watching this thread with interest, as I have a sizeable chunk of my BR on Bodog. I wasn't planning on moving it (or at least not all of it), but if this is the only method to cashout I need to set up the EFT -> checking account mechanism, too.

Please update this thread as you get more info.

Thanks.

Edited to add: I am not panicking, as I don't expect Bodog to go away, but I'd rather be prepared...

No I'm not taking out my entire Bodog roll, I w/d a shade under 10K. I plan to leave enough in there to continue playing.

I just got off the phone with Bodog Support to ask if my EFT or Echeck had been processed that I requested 9 hours ago.
Unfortunately, it hasn't. He said it hadn't because they are experiencing technical difficulties. It is que'ed up, but hasn't been processed yet. He assured me the issue was on their end & had nothing to do with the whole Neteller debacle & nothing to do with Poker Stars not accepting Echecks anymore. BTW-I brought up the PS thing.

Obviously, I'm a little concerned, but have confidence this withdrawal will come through.

Bottom line, no W/D with Neteller. (like everyone else)

No W/D by checks any more. This is weird, they give a vague answer when I ask why this is the case, as I asked them again.

Evidently you can w/d with a couple other e-wallets providing you have accounts with them of course.

*I'll update this later as I plan on calling them this evening to see if the EFT has been atleast processed.

Hmmm- i put a request in to withdraw some money last night, by insta-check back to my bank. I'll keep you posted.

I set this up a long time ago, and I had to go through the same verification process. It's pretty standard.

I don't see why they would have a problem just mailing a check to us.

Please keep us updated.

I assumed the checking account verification process was standard. I just thought it was odd it wasn't mentioned on the phone when I asked him if that was all they needed. No big deal though, that went smoothly atleast.

I can't understand the check thing either, especially since it coincided with the Neteller debacle, it certainly can't be a coincidence.

Dear Mr. xxxxx,

Thank you for contacting Bodog Customer Service. We do understand where
the confusion is stemming from in
this case. Both of the answers we provided to you were correct, however
they are referring to different
types of checks.

Paper checks, which you are asking about specifically, are not being
honored by the banks when they are cashed. This is something beyond
our control, and as such we have stopped issuing paper checks.

Electronic checks are where we are having problems with our check
processors. This is a technical issue on
our side that we are working on, and is unrelated to the paper check
issue that you were asking about
specifically. We do apologize for the mix up.

Should you require further assistance, please do not hesitate to
contact us.

Best Regards,
Customer Service

Re: Bodog Update Regarding Neteller & Payouts

Just got off the phone with Bodog support.

The processor they use for EFT's (Echecks) has pulled out & they have no way of issuing payouts at this time.

They are trying to implement their contingency plan, but could not give me a time frame when that would be up and running.
His best advice was wait a couple days and see if their back up plan gets activated.

He also said that Western Union was still an option.
Looks like this is the way to go for the time being.

SirArthur, what was involved in getting a Western Union transfer? What info do you need to supply to Bodog? Is it wired directly to your bank account or is it wired to a local WU office, which then cuts you a check (or something). I've never used them to transfer money so I don't know what the process entails.

Thanks...

I've never used Western Union before either.
I didn't have to provide Bodog with any further information.
FWIW-My checking account info. has already been verified with Bodog.

Bodog told me I'd receive an email within 24 hours instructing me on what to do.

Apparently, they give you a name and a 10 digit code then you have to go to a WU outfit and they will cut you out a check.
We'll see, I'll keep you guys posted.
