Re: Bodog removes Neteller as deposit option

I have 14K in BD right now, I was going to w/d a nice chunk of that, should I wait?

Should I trust Neteller to handle the w/d, or maybe have them send a check, anyone ever had BD send them a check via mail before?

withdraw to neteller... it's totally fine. they're not running off with your money. imo, a check from a poker site/casino is a pain in the ass

Re: Bodog removes Neteller as deposit option

I find this interesting, I wonder if Bodog and Neteller are having some sort of pissing match. Why would Neteller stop depositing non-American funds even if they are going to quit the USA and why would Bodog not want to keep them as a source for non-US player's money? The Bodog statement

[ QUOTE ]

"In regards to NETeller, we are no longer offering it as a deposit method as we are no longer able to ensure that those funds will be transferred to us and we do not want to risk lost funds going to and from our players accounts"

[/ QUOTE ]
is both vague and strange. Has Neteller had a bunch of lost deposits recently? I'm sure it would have blown up around here if they had. I like the fact that they say that you can transfer directly from your checking account instead when this will most likely be the method that will become obsolete in the future because of the bill. All I know is that I'm staying with my Neteller account until I can't use it anymore, then I might change to a new E-wallet or just pull out completely. If I can't deposit on a site with Neteller, I guess they wont get my money.

Edit: Do you think this has something to do with Bodog also running a sportsbook?

I would be surprised if this were true.

This news is unfortunately true.

I got this as well from BD support.

"Thank you for contacting Bodog Poker Customer Service.

As you may already be aware, we are no longer able to process deposits from Neteller. We know that you have used this
method recently to fund your account and wanted to reassure you that payouts via Neteller can still be requested and will
continue to be processed to your Neteller account for the time being.

For future deposits into your Bodog account, we have a number of convenient options available. Our Instant Check method is a
fast, free and secure way to transfer funds to your Bodog account directly from your US bank account. Additional options
include eWallet deposit methods such as:

Click2Pay
eWalletXpress
myCitadel
CentralCoin
NUCharge
INSTADEBIT
We encourage you to visit Bodog's 'Deposit' page to review a list of these and other deposit methods we offer:
https://www.bodog.com/account/app/PrepareDeposit"

So for your next Bodog deposit, which option are you going to use, and which ones shouldn't you use?

Is this for US players only, or all players?

Agreed, this just doesn't make sense from a business standpoint.
Maybe Bodog is trying to leverage them for a better rate?

It's my understanding that this new policy is universal, and doesn't single out U.S. players.

Re: Bodog removes Neteller as deposit option

I guess I am confused. If NETeller is no longer a deposit option then why is it still listed as one? I am at work and cannot attempt a deposit.

Re: Bodog removes Neteller as deposit option
