and you can manipulate the situation such that you generate more action and the times when all the dough gets pushed in the middle, you are a big favorite

I'm not sure what this means other than "you are good at poker".

I don't either, because I'm not that good at poker. I'm sure there's some sort of game theory thing that Bluff alluded to where if someone knows/thinks that they can get you to "run it twice", then they will play with strategy A that includes playing range A of hands in a certain situation. In that same situation if they are playing in a game where running-it-twice is illegal then they use strategy B and their range of hands/play is B.

So you know all this and use it to your advantage by "playing poker good" and you manipulate the situation so that your strategy is superior.

Again, I'm not very good at poker and I couldn't do this. Bluff can it explain it probably.

This gets brought up like once a week in Probability. It does not affect the results a bit. It is used by some to get more action.

running it more than once keeps your expected value the same and lowers the variance.
All that needs to be said, all this other crap is giving me a headache.

For similar reasons I will frequently deny insurance unless the premium is very favorable, just like I sometimes call with the worst of it on purpose.
