lol. We've all been there. Table games are like drugs, "Just say no". My vice before poker was craps and BJ and that was all I would do before at the B & M's. I'm grateful for poker where if done right your'e +EV in the long run. But I'm grateful for online casino's b/c you learn the quick lesson of how bad and how dangerous -1%EV and -2%EV really is, and how quickly it adds up. Vegas and Atlantic City are there for a reason, and its definitely not from taking a rake from poker players.

Quit your cryin', grind it back again, and just have the discipline to play poker.

- That being said, I wonder if have the discipline to stay away from the table games when I go to Vegas next week. lol.

I also went through an up/down relationship with blackjack and left down $5k and almost left my school. However, I did not leave empty handed because I knew that things needed to change. With online gaming as it is, you have the advantage of being able to improve your poker game at ridiculous rates posting in strat forums, etc. More to the point, I learned that there are two separate things in playing cards; you need to be both a great poker player and an even better gambler. Anybody can become a successful poker strategist, especially with the wealth of information available FOR FREE on this site. But, the hardest obstacle is becoming a great gambler. Online play requires personal discipline unparalled in other professions. To be able to manage a bankroll with so many opportunities to put your online money at risk is a lesson that may take a lot of money to learn, and that is if you are willing to improve yourself in the first place. Blackjack offers a PRIMITIVE rush that any human being is capable of sharing. I successfully stopped playing blackjack last August and have since improved my card game to a very competent level. Long and short, if you're looking to gambool play on sites that offer blackjack and continue to tempt yourself until you lose enough to learn a lesson and potentially [censored] your life up OR learn how to become a disciplined gambler and make the $$$$$.

I've had the same problem. Now I just try not to ever play BJ without a bonus. Which basically means I don't play much BJ.

Learn to play baccarat... Period

If you can't count cards like in a online casino the house advantage is MUCH less in baccarat. It's almost like blackjack it's just you don't get to make any decisions which is a GREAT THING for bad blackjack players
