if you play nl - then it's la by a mile.

Really? I am taking a trip to vegas for about a week soon to get some live experience and assumed it would be pretty close to LA. I play 5/10-25/50 nl and have never played in a live public game. If they are close I would rather go to Vegas, but I dont care that much.

Should I go to LA instead?

I'm from Norcal. Norcal is for visiting, not living.

The weather sucks.

You're hyberbolic. Now if you said the weather sucks in North Dakota I'd have to agree.

generally there more good high stakes nl games at commerce alone than at nearly every vegas casino combined. more local nits in vegas more laggy gamblers in la.

More the exception than the norm. I went to school at USC in LA, now live in Vegas way on the outskirts of town and love it. I play for a living.
