And there's always Abdul Jalib's chart, which is all over the net.

Jalib's chart is for limit holdem.

As for T&P, whereas they recommended memorizing their hand groupings in HPFAP, there are all sorts of disclaimers on their starting hand recommendations in T&P. I don't think they intend anyone memorizing any charts for NL play.

Well that's the rub. Don't memorize it, everything depends, etc...

But they obviously wanted to give the readers general ideas/guidelines to start from. I'm just saying that it's easier for me to absorb that information in chart form. And then make adjustments from there.

And from Lawman's response it appears that chart making is both legal and moral.

Please read this thread, my brother.

If you're truly a new player, try this.

Thanks Bear, just what I was hoping for (even if everyone thinks I'm an idiot for wanting a chart).

What are you thinking, are this hands playing when nobody have limped or playing by callers?

I don't no, why Miller this hands not included in his strategy.

Perhaps in his strategy he doesn't want this hands.

I think that Bauertson's classification as "Newbie" refers to his mastery of the English language. I kind of think I know what he means.

People see different things different ways. For instance, I had no problem understanding Bauertson's post.

I definitely understood yours as well.

Have a great day!

Re: NLHTAP Starting hands

Hello everbody

Sorry for my bad english and my last post, it wasn't good. I hope this one is a better on ;-)

Miller/Sklansky wrote in the book a preflop Strategy (page 125-130), with a guide to play EP, MP, LP and with different situation. In the book they write about the different strating hand and give some guideline for playing this hands. This two "guidlines" are different, they don't included the same strategy.

What think you, is the preflop strategy complet or is better to add the hand's from the other capitel.

I hope you understand my bad english and can help me, Thank You!
