There actually is a way, but I can't remember how. You have to turn some sort of option off in iTunes. Look around to see if there is an auto sync option that you can uncheck/turn off.

It's in the options somewhere.

Just make sure you unplug your ipod when you update itunes, and then before you plug in your ipod switch your itunes back to "Manually Manage songs" I forgot to do that and lost about 10,000 songs. [img]/images/graemlins/mad.gif[/img]

He can't set hsi friend's itunes to manual and just grab a few songs off?
I've done it before.
