Fairway is pretty much always a PW. I'll use a SW if I'm in thick rough. I rarely see a lie that's appropriate for my 60 degree wedge that far out.

I have a 60 LW but it has a hudge sole and if I mishit it in the slightest I skald it and a 70 yard shot turns into 150.

I will say that I have hit my 60 a bunch at the range (on turf, no grass available), and on the course only a handful of times.

60* goes about 58-65 for me. Perfect shot in that range. I have a 56* lob wedge that I hit about 80 and a 50* that I hit dead 100 yards.

50 - 1/3 swing LW
60 - 1/3 swing SW
70 - 2/3 swing LW
85 - 2/3 swing SW

similar for my gap and pitching wedges to get me up to my full PW (140 or so)

I use my 52* gap wedge for basically all shots under 100 yards. It's just all feel for how long I need to hit it.
