zecco is alot cheaper then tdameritrade so i just wanted to know how good their trading platform is. i might switch over and 25$ per trade is expensive.. wow

I've narrowed it down to Zecco or Scottrade. Zecco has the free trading but Scottrade's platform, from what I've seen, is better. It has streaming quotes and a live ticker.

open an ameritrade account. keep $ in zecco. bam. streaming quotes & live ticker.

or you could just use scottrade and have both

I use scottrade and am in the process of switching over to zecco.

Plus, with scottrade, you get the added benefit of paying fees with your trade! It's a win-win-win!

Not exactly, you need a checking account with them and $25K in your brokerage account for 30 free equity trades a month.
