a gas station in pittsburgh teams up with a local grocery store, you get $10c off per gallon for every $50 you spend in store

just mentioning this because the rate seems slightly better than what has been shown so far

We have that here in Mass too. Filled up my pickup for $16 Tuesday. $.89 a gallon.

Giant Eagle (grocery store) gives discounts for gas at GetGo's (they own them), I assume that's what you mean.

Do they have a limit on how much gas you can get?

Couldnt you spend a ton at the store and get $3 off per gallon?

I'm not sure but I think there is one that is like 30 gallons or something. I've never done it but friends have filled two cars both with standard 12 gallonish tanks. That's probably still within the norm for SUVs so maybe it doesn't get all that high.

Spend $50 at Stop N' Shop here in Mass. and usually get a 10c/gallon discount, and $100 gets you a 20c/gallon discount from their gas station (which is the cheapest or a little cheaper than any other station in my town with my Savings card anyway). Too bad their prices are terrible and they don't have good sales to make it worth it that often.

I know it's not a grocery store, but Speedway/SuperAmerica FTW. This month, when you buy a $50 gift card, you only spend $48 on it. Which means everything you buy with the card essentially has a 4% discount. At $3.159, that checks out to better than 12½¢/gallon. Ship it.

The big thing here is the gift cards. They give you double discount on gift cards, and sell gift cards that you could use for big name purchases (lowes, sears, etc)
