i think most bottles of absinthe aren't as potent/effective as they used to be, something about weaker versions being sold online?

anyway, tried it for the first time a few weeks ago. was already a bit drunk but a bunch of people took a shot of it. I have no idea if this an intelligent way to drink it, but I hated the taste. Never been a huge fan of hard liquor in general, but the liquorice taste seemed to stick around forever, along with the burn. Didn't notice any hallucinations at all, nor did I seem any drunker than I would've been from normal liquor.

Lots of myths around it I guess. I've drank it many times and I've never seen any hallucinations. The levels of tujon (SP?) in today's absinthe is really low.

But it's guaranteed to get you shitfaced. I mean it's 70%+ so it's like two shots in one, do them fast and you might ruin your life a little every time you drink it like I do.
