I looked at the links above. In the first link, Hero has 36 bb's and adding on will give him an additional 10 bb's. This is a pretty significant bump.

When I asked about having 50k in a rebuy Stars tourney...You'd have 333 bb's for the coming level and adding on will give you 13 more bb's. That doesn't seem very significant.

i always add on, period, think what you will, but the more chips i have the better i like it.

Do you add-on when you're chip leader (or close) in a rebuy super satellite (i.e. many tickets)?

I think that would be the absolute worst time.

The thing is, after you get sucked out on twice, it may be the difference between having an 8 bb stack or a 15 bb stack.

It's just insurance. You don't WANT to need them, but it's nice to have if you DO need them.
