Re: Interesting \"paradox\" concerning suited cards
[ QUOTE ]
There's a greater chance of the TT making a winning flush against the suited AK if that has anything to do with it. If not, just ignore the previous statement. [/ QUOTE ] There isn't, and it doesn't. The chance of ThTd picking up 4 or 5 hearts or diamonds to make a flush is the same whether it's up against AsKs or AsKc. The chance of it being a winning flush depends on the chance AK makes a full house or quads, and that is the same whether AK is suited or unsuited. |
Re: Interesting \"paradox\" concerning suited cards
But there's a larger chance of your TT being suit "dominated" by an offsuit AK than a suited AK.
EDIT: Sorry, this doesn't really pertain to the problem at hand since in neither example are the suits dominated. I was just assuming a random AK and random TT. |

Because many times when AKs makes a flush by the river it would win anyway because other A or K is on the board, so those times dont add additional equity I asked this question to myself some time ago too [/ QUOTE ] I didn't notice that punter had the answer first in white. |
