This is crazy thinking for any buyin. 27bbs is like nothing, if you and villain had like 80-90bbs behind we might have an actual interesting hand, this is not, shove.

OK... I get it... just playing devil's advocate for myself

Yea, I think a borderline hand in this spot would be AT probably, or 66.

on a related note....

villian snap-called with TT... how do you like his call? I don't know if I could make that call in that spot. He's gotta believe he's at best a coinflip but possibly in trouble as I have not been out of line, overly aggressive, etc.

His call is standard. Like a LOT standard.

....maybe not completely necessary, but OK.

Would you just call as an alternative and play a flop? Or RR but not AI, and if so to what amount?

[/ QUOTE ]

I think playing and seeing the flop would be much better here. Reraising a 4000 bet to say 10000 and leaving yourself 1-2k behind is just silly. Given relatively deep stacks, flop play is possible and better. If this was AKs it'd be a little different because then you could have flush hits as well, but with AKo, you're in need of an ace or king, assuming he has you beat (22-QQ) preflop. It depends really on the read(s) you have on him. I do think he's going to raise you very lightly though, but I'm kind of unsure how lightly unless I has reads.

NO.

Shove every time.

Villain's pot odds are ~1.75-1 and if he puts you on AQ+/JJ+ he wins 40% against that range while needing ~36% to breakeven. So, his call is not questionable, rather pretty standard.

Don't ever expect this guy to put so much in and fold.......like ever. This is a very, very standard call by villain.

I can't see any other play other than shove. and dont blame villians caller either, for the reasons mentioned by Rocco and John

I think both of your hands played out naturally. Neither of you made a bad move.
