Sorry, MicroBob, I forgot to add [/sarcasm].

Like you, I wish we had more on this angle. Unlike cato-tonia, I'm not an [censored].

yeah, you're just a wonderful piece of [censored] alright.

You're the only idiot in this thread, I wouldn't pick fights.

I agree that this could be significant, MB, but I'm afraid that it might happen too infrequently (Bowl Games, bball tournaments) to get statistically significant data. If it's not already incorporated by books.

Re: Effect of early start-time?

I was wrong about the MAC game.
It's at 11am eastern time. Still pretty early though.

Naj's observations on March Madness is different imo.
That includes teams that are traveling a great distance to play in a different time-zone as well as a very different area/atmosphere. But there is some similarity for the western teams who travel to the eastern time-zone and play the early game. 12:15p start-time in Ohio is 9:15am for the time-zone that they just came from.
I remember Miami, Ohio knocking off Arizona and Stoudamire in 95 in the 12:15p game in Dayton. AZ just looked flat and understandably so imo.

But I think it's different when it's JUST an early start-time and not having to travel way out of your time-zone to get there.
Teams that aren't from thousands of miles away and instead are from the same local area such as CMU vs. MIA or LSU vs. TUL.

Big10 football had a bunch of 12p and I think even 11a starts this year...as well as all those 12:30 games in the SEC.

Miami v FSU was always at noon for years, they had no trouble waking up, altho Def always dominated those games early.

CMU/Miami O/U was 63.
The score right now is 7-3 late in the 3rd.
Guess I should have gone with my theory on this one and hammered the under. But I kept looking at all those 45-40 type games CMU had played lately and I got scared. Silly me.
