A guy notorious for complaining about having the worst luck ever wants to become a pro BJ player. Good stuff! Also: Visit BJ21.com

It's interesting that he's used a public gambling forum to announce his strategy and pinpoint his real identity.

that would be bad if pit bosses read this forum, huh? Also, a few people on bj21.com have stated that it would be terrible for me if mgm banned me from their casino. Do the major casinos ban you just from bj or from their casino in general?

A few pit bosses probably do read this forum. Plenty of casino workers try their hands at poker. To answer your question, it varies. Sometimes you get barred from blackjack, sometimes you get barred from all tables games, and sometimes you get escorted off the premises and told not to come back. It really depends on the policy of the individual casino (or casino group). At most MGM-Mirage properties, if you're caught counting cards, you'll generally just be asked not to play blackjack anymore. At the Rio, they might just up and throw you out altogether. But, it's impossible to keep up with the policies of every casino, because they're always changing. What's more, it varies by shift. One shift manager might ask you not to play blackjack, while another one might tell you to leave.

Agree. Harrah's properties seem very eager to 86 advantage players and seem to think that an 86 at one property applies to all their other properties. Casinos are generally more prone to 86 if they deem you a serious financial threat or otherwise extraordinarily undesirable. At OP's bet levels, he may be considered a threat.

I'm in the camp that believes that OP's plan is unwise. His bj career is likely to be short-lived and may well result in his being tossed from poker rooms.

If OP has a lot of poker-related expenses, such as having to pay for rooms and meals, he may well do better by learning to play video poker to defray those expenses. And at his bet levels, vp play could well become profitable if he is able to avail himself of some of the special offers and benefits that many casinos shower upon high-rollers.

Getting booted out of poker rooms isn't a big threat. There are only a handful of respectable poker rooms in Las Vegas (some might say there is only one respectable poker room in Las Vegas). If one were to simply restrict his play to all casinos other than the casinos where he might want to play poker, then that should suffice for maintaining access to those poker rooms.

99% of the time that you get a tap on the shoulder you are not going to be banned from the casino. at least any casino where you want to player poker. rio is the sketchiest but their bj sucks anyways.

Generally, they'll just ban you from table games, or limit you to like craps and roulette.
