Re: Do I hold on to JJ here?
The Q is a good card for you if anything, since now its more likely he has a T. Call the turn donk and get one bet in on the river.

I'm just wondering if I could fold without specific read. The pot is large but not that large. On the flop he might call with a draw or even TX. But here it looks like QX. [/ QUOTE ] Qx would often c/r here (and is also likely to have shown aggression on the flop). In fact against many people this is virtually never trips. |
Re: Do I hold on to JJ here?
My first reaction was to raise, but after reading some of those responses, I think you are right, call is much better. I don't think you can fold.

And this senseless aggression helps us how? [/ QUOTE ] Protecting against the 3d player who might be on a draw here? Pot is pretty decent, SB is often betting a T here and we're in pretty good shape HU. |

Re: Do I hold on to JJ here?
Although we have little information on our opponents, I would raise here. Let's force out the CO who might be on a draw, and I agree with calidris that the SB is often betting a T. The SB has a wide hand range here. And if you plan on calling down and spending two more bets, why not raise? You'll probably get a free showdown anyway, there's even the chance he may fold the turn if he doesn't have trips, and if he bets the river you can reasonably fold this hand. I don't think the aggression is senseless. I would not call this down.
