Dallas was 'picking their spots' the other night, sure. But the Lakers flat got beat. KINGS!

Dallas is depleated I won't deny it. Kings were favored by 4.5 that game (won by 5). Kings had a lot going for them, winning 11 in a row at home, winning 4 of 5 on the road before the game, Dallas being hurt and being on back to back. I'm not going to complain about winning either game though. The Dallas game was close, what can you do. We didn't play well and neither did they.

I'm still being a realist (I'm a Pistons fan), and waiting for the other shoe to drop. Artest is a great player, but until he can prove he can play through an entire season without a mishap, he will still be a calculated risk.

Re: Sacramento KINGS

Everyone in the NBA is a risk. Anyone can have a career ending injury on any given night and due to poor NBA contract structuring screw a team over (Allan Houston anyone). With that being said, yes Artest is a risk just like the Kings were taking a risk letting Peja having the Keys to the team. With Peja at the helm the Kings were risking of falling into oblivion.

Artest is a passionate player who has currently gotten the rest of the Kings motivated. We actually play D now. Everyone can change. Hasn't Sheed changed?

Artest might not fully change but many Kings players have in the past including Webber, Jim Jackson and Vernon Maxwell. With that being said, if Artest does blow up it'll be a huge shame. Artest is one of the best players in the league. He's taking over our team and he's not even close to being 100% (hip pointer, out of shape, doesn't know the offence fully). If he does get 100% healthy, and we add a couple of pieces next year, watch out everyone, the Kings will contend again.

I totally agree he's a huge talent.

He's also a greater risk than most NBA players. Sheed is as well. Cross your fingers!

Not hacking on Dallas, they are solidly in the playoffs and need to pace themselves down the stretch. Kings needed a win worse.

Re: Sacramento KINGS

They can't pace themselves, they need to win home court. Also, Flakers suck, and should have put more effort into trading Odom for Artest. Artest for 60 games is better than Odom for 80 games.

Re: Sacramento KINGS

Peja is better than Odom for the Pacers and has a better contract currently. If you trade Odom for Artest your going to have to get Croshere as well since Odom's contract is so massive. Bird has said he prefered Peja since Artest initially acted up. They need a 3 point shooter rather than Odom who is an undersized PF.

The Lakers are an extension of Kobe's massive ego, and deserve to be just where they are: barely in the playoffs. Kobe is the biggest tool in the NBA, and that's saying a lot.
