There's a bad beat jackpot in an underground card room? heh.

[/ QUOTE ]

Odds are they will never have to pay it so its putting a bad beat on the game and an extra $1/hand, i like it

[/ QUOTE ]

Why would you say that? The bad beat at a game I know of was paid 3 or 4 times in the past year and a half. Each time it was over $10K.

Well went back again tonight and few things.

The army guy was wearing his fatigues, there is a big base 2miles away, im pretty certain of it now. Also 2+2er MDoranD was there on my direct left. Sadly he did not have a great night, first losing with AQ on an Axx 2 spade board when a guy shoved his JTs and hit on the turn. Then later me him and my friend decide to get into a minraising battle where MDoranD hits the strait and my gets it allin on the turn vs my pal who had 2 pair and river'd the boat. But on the plus side i cashed out for $450. The game wasnt nearly as great as last night but the play was still horrible. MDoranD told me about another game in town so im hoping to check it out soon.

As for the BBJ they take $1 out of the raked money every $100, last night they added $71 to the BBJ meaning there was about $7100 raked the night before, not a bad business...

EDIT: oh yeah and there is free beer (all you can drink) and free food which is nice since its best to get there at 7 so you dont need to eat before hand

Nice story, thanks for posting it. That game sounds like a lot of fun. Free pizza, friendly players, dead money... I live in Las Vegas and I can see skipping the casinos to play in that game.

Wow, you are right that ain't bad at all. Especially given the low overhead and the legitimate business up front bringing in even more money.

Also, if that guy you played with was in the Army, his conversation shows that he probably sucks as life and won't be a good drill sergeant haha.

Are you sure that was the figuire for just the previous day?
7100/$4 = 1775 hands
1775/30 hours( 2 tables @15 hours) = 59.17 hands per hour per table.
That is smokin, and the question remains...how long do the games go? I used 15 hours for the sake of example.

yeah, the net raked seemed very high to me for two tables as well.

First post said $4 per hand of which $1 goes to BBJ... that means $200 in rake. If in fact it's $1 per hundred, then that means $7100 total action for the night, not 7100 taken in rake.
