This getting out big time is still my biggest fear, yea it really sucks and is scary this happened and I feel bad for the people that get robbed, but if CNN or whatever plays a segment and it really gets out there, we're all gonna suffer big time IMO, it will scare tons of recreational players away from ANY online site, and not to mention could be a dangerous argument for our opposition on the legislative front.

Also, this is another interesting piece of info. I don't think it has been posted yet.

Once again, credit goes to snagglepuss for figuring this out.

But there is some "metadata"-like info attached to the XLS file that seems to indicate who created the file. The name includes first, last and middle initial. And it's a unique name that I would not expect to pop up often.

But if you google the guy, he's an alleged rapist who went missing (from a state in the US) while free on bond in 2006. (Pretty much a year ago)

There's no guarantee that it's all connected, but I'd say there's a solid chance that it is. So we might have a rapist to thank for sending Marco the file.

Just to second that. The mere fact that after the first round of investigations and posts on 5 sites the traffic at absolute did not decrease shows that the people playing there and the fishes in general can't tell any difference between the various poker & casino sites.

I'd really like to see a video of this on YouTube, with audio commentary on what is so outrageous about the plays. Then we can embed that video everywhere, and try to drive its popularity upwards.

One idea that someone had was to target people specifically using Absolute Poker.

One possibility is advertising on search engines on results related to Absolute Poker. I looked into this, and generated a list of key words that related to absolutepoker.com (don't have the list handy, but I'm sure I can find it/recreate it)

Obviously this would cost money, so I'm not sure how this would work.
