Ok, I'm looking for serious answers here, don't take this as me just whining.

How do you guys deal with all the BS in STTs. I'm not talking about bad beats I'm talking about coolers, specifically when its HU-5 handed play when you just consistently lose 60/40s or HU when you have to get it all in and are just dominated everytime.

I'm really just looking for some ideas to try. I'm having a horrible week of just not winning and its driving me insane.

[/ QUOTE ]

If I think coolers/bad runs/negative variance is starting to effect my play, I take time away from playing and spend more time analyzing my play, and the play of my opponents and concentrate on improving my game.

You should always be doing this, but I can usually find something to improve on, posting hands and getting others input can also restore confidence, and it keeps me away from the table when I might not be playing my best.

It accomplishes two things, either I can logically look at the math and realize I'm going to win long term, or I find leaks. Usually it's a little of both.

I added looking at others people's play, because at times people have pinned me as predictable and are exploiting my game.

Not being a dick but basically all sng players playing below the 215s have very big leaks.

[/ QUOTE ]

Some people are in the process of building a bankroll and moving up - or maybe building a bankroll and blowing it on hookers. Not that your "basically" doesn't cover it, but I'm sure some of the audience here plays lower levels and don't have very big leaks.

[/ QUOTE ]

Having big leaks in your game doesn't make you a bad person or even an unprofitable player. The term "big" is relative anyway. A big leak at the 11s might be missing 20% of ATC SB pushes. A big leak at the 119s might be failing to properly push/fold mid pocket pairs UTG on the bubble as the effective stack sizes change.

Slim,
You're right significant is probably a better word than big

I would've been fine if you said just about every SNG player has major leaks and those that don't still have small leaks. I guess I'm being a nit.

I've been 100% leak free for nearly 10 months. Will coach for beers.

Re: FutureDoc, Look inside.....[CENSORED] THREAD! [CENSORED] THREAD!

I was playing sippin_criss at a $16 or $27 one time, and I was on the button sippin in the sb on the bubble. Both sippin and I were about equal in chips and the shortest stacks. I have some crap hand, but pushable. Only either sippin or I had pushed the last 4 or 5 hands in a row. The BB was the big stack and I thought this guy is calling light, and sippin is playing 1314124 tables and doesn't know it. I'll let him push.

Sure enough sippin pushes 23o, BB calls with J6s or something. Sippin flops a fullhouse. Shortly there after I bubbled, well at least my read was good.
