Then again, come on down to the Catholic town I grew up in and every single Catholic Church has a festival in the summer that raises money through gambling and beer sales. Oh and bingo every Tuesday night in the church basement.

Though they recently ( a couple years ago) took out the game where rats were spun around in circles on a wheel and dizzily crawled into a colored hole (you bet on colors) because it was against church teaching on animals.

I think they still have the turtle races though. Not quite as exciting as going to the track, but easier to carry.
