Terrible episode. SP is losing it.

i agree. south park is using less and less legitimately original episodes and more and more social satire, which for the most part they fail at.

it seems like every single episode in season's 10 and 11 focuses on 2 people, places, things, or concepts in society today, and directly makes fun of it.

The only episode that didn't really follow the rules (Cartman and the Wii) was the only episode I can recall that I actually laughed out loud watching.

This most recent episode was miserable and I stopped watching 15 minutes through.

here are kinds of original episodes we will never see on SP again because things like Scientology, Bono, Oprah, Christians, Jesse Jackson, and the homeless have to be the centerpiece of every episode.

Starvin Marvin
The Succubus
Scott Tenorman must Die
Korn's Groovy Pirate Mystery
Helen Keller! The Musical

Also note how similar episodes focusing on a simlar thing have evolved from "Cartman's Silly Hate Crime 2000" to "With Apoligies to Jesse Jackson".

It just sucks.

Despite all the [censored] jokes, I couldn't help but laugh. I know it was very low brow humor, but I still was laughing. When Bono was being breast-fed I was looking away in disgust at times, but still laughing. The whole episode was me laughing while being disgusted pretty much.

I agree the ultrasound was the best part.

The only line I thought was funny in this episode was "One Katie Couric is approximately two and a half pounds of human excrement"

tbh i didnt think it was any worse than most of the other episodes of the last 2 seasons, not sure why everyone is bitching about this...

it was ok, like a 1/10 for southpark tho

Bono trying to be number one at everything because he doesn't want to be number two since he was concieved through taking a crap was pretty hilarious imo.

meh there almost needs to almost be 2 threads, one for die hard fans, and one for regular watchers.... i really like a lot of the commentary here like claytons earlier post is pretty insightful.

its just that to someone that has seen episodes like 'fat camp', 'melvins', 'rainforest shmainforest' etc easily 50+ times its just so depressing to watch crap like 'the snuke', or the homeless episode get turned out because you truly know what these guys are capable of (there are obv exceptions here, which seem to vary between ppl. to me easter special stands out in this season).

btw im not trying to be condescending or anything here, the ppl enjoying the new episodes for a laugh probably have a less biased and more accurate overall opinion of how good the new episodes are. its just that the die hards have the emotional investment in the characters and a show that just doesnt exist in the way that it used to.

i dont give a [censored] about 'king of kong'. i dont give a [censored] about 'jesse jackson' or 'bono'. i care about the old stan, kyle, kenny, cartman, randy etc.

perfect example was chris hansen.... he is awesome yes. he had funny lines yes. but he had no [censored] place whatsoever in that last episode about tourettes. catch a predator was just so far removed from that storyline and the way it was forced in was just painful to watch.
