Re: *official 2007 red sox thread*
Our pitching has been absolutely solid. Beckett and Wakefield have ERAs under 2 and Schill/Dice-K under 3.

Watching the replay of yesterdays game. Angels Kotchman singles to left, or does he?!!! Manny charges the ball, gets rid of it quickly, side arm, throws a 10 hopper past the cuttoff all the way to first. G-7?? Nah, Kotchman was long safe and is walking back to the bag by the time Yuke comes up with it. Classic.
(He is playing very good out there, and creative too!) |
Re: *official 2007 red sox thread*
Dice-K 1-2. Absolutely awful 4th inning does him in. Still goes 6 innings and only gives up 2 runs.
His offense needs to start giving him support. |
Re: *official 2007 red sox thread*
I didn't see the game, but I can't imagine a 2-run inning being "absolutely awful".
Gee, he didn't throw a shutout. He stinks. |

- A. Lind struck out swinging
- V. Wells singled to third - F. Thomas walked, V. Wells to second - L. Overbay singled to left center, V. Wells scored, F. Thomas to second - A. Hill walked, F. Thomas to third, L. Overbay to second - G. Zaun walked, F. Thomas scored, L. Overbay to third, A. Hill to second - R. Clayton struck out swinging - J. Smith flied out to deep center 2 runs, 2 hits, 0 errors Boston 1, Toronto 2 I guess you're right. Send this guy back to Shanghai. For $100,000,000 we should at least get a guy who never loads the bases. I know where Shanghai is. I only used it because I think it's a funny word. It's even funnier as a verb. Stay tuned. |

It's hard to compete with Gustavo Chacin:

I didn't say I want him to miss his next rotation. I said he had a terrible inning. He did. His walks weren't even close to the plate. Varitek looked like he was doing calisthenics trying to stop them from going to the backstop, and he even failed on one that hit five feet in front of the plate. Hell, even Clayton's strikeout was a gift. Those balls weren't exactly hittable balls but he was chasing them regardless of the fact Matsuzaka couldn't find the plate. It's OK. I'm not hating on your little man. |
