Thought/Suggestion:
The assassin should come out right now.

I don't think he can be stopped by the wolves. It'd be nice to know what all his kills are or are going to be, and the docs can protect him every single turn. Probably the most powerful non-seer, non-doctor villager role. Anyone agree?

And I really need to reread and I will later. Class now.

[/ QUOTE ]

I'm not sure if there was clarification on whether or not the doctors can actually protect non-seer players

I really dislike this idea - it may be worth discussing once one doctor gets outed or killed but for now it is just plain bad.

In my last 5 games as a villager I've nailed a wolf in damn near each of them, the only exception being Star Wars

People don't like that I KNOW I'm good, or that I say I'm good. That doesn't mean its untrue.

Its not the worst thing in the world if I'm not elected, but its just stupid villager pride to spite me.

don't sweat it, champ. even less people seem to be voting for me... though i don't seem to be on many people's "wolf" lists. in fact, i noticed myself on an awful lot of villager lists.

Fnord and Stephen: do you trust me somewhat at this point in the game? Is there a way to convince you that I'm good by this evening? Would you listen to my vote-off opinions? Are you wolves?

Its my opinion that the 3some should be me, you, and fnord...how hot would that be

Shorty: I suspect you're villager, but I'm not confident about it. I'm more concerned that you've been quite coy about your vote-off and villager opinions, as if there's a valuable reason to keep them to yourself. I'm not sure that I can trust your vote-off thoughts to be valid at this point, *even if you are villager*, because you yourself have been casting doubts on whether you will be honest. See the problem?

i said i'd post a big list of thoughts later. i'm open about my coyness. if people don't want to vote me for being coy, whatever. i'm not running on a platform of non-coyness. i'm not sure why everyone seems to think you're a villager, though. i know why you seem to think it.

I would really like to ensure Fnord has the most votes so StephenH can't tiebreak as it looks he will be voted in.

Yeah, the assassin coming out is a pretty bad idea. He one doctor might die, and if a seer then comes out, the assassin is screwed. Doctors should just protect themselves with a little bit of rand on a secondary target.

I voted Stephen because I had to leave last night and didn't know how long today would go.
I like that he is actually talking about who he would lynch instead of posting a list of 8 players who are kind of wolfish. I also like a Jeremy lynch and don't mind a Zurvan lynch.

traz, i would consider it a great show of faith (and very non-wolfy) if you would spend your vote attempting to put me onto the electorate. because up until now, you have done little to convince me you are truly village.

My vote is needed to get ME into the electorate. If it wasn't for that, I'd probably vote you.

I really dislike a dmk vote. So I will not be supporting traz at any time.

Jeremy, your list also reads as a list of people who suspect you. Basically you just are posting, "I am not a wolf" over and over when your name is mentioned without doing much more.

Total guesses of wolf suspects:
Xorbie for his horrible lists
Spook for his obvious bandwaggoning without reason
Anyone who doesn't come back and make an official vote

After a reread, I don't like a xorbie lynch as much, but I could just be out-thinking myself.

Spook has gotten worse since my list. My day one reads suck, but I like a Spook lynch.

Here's my problem with this. People talk about my ego, yada yada, but yet, people are JUST as egotistical, because they want to vote ppl who have similar lists. There is an inherent irony in that, because you believe that YOUR choice is better than mine.

On that note, it's been proven in the past that some people's choices ARE SIMPLY BETTER THAN OTHERS. If the villager ACCEPTS THIS, they will do far better than to ignore it.

Yeah, and you also posted a countif and mentioned that soah was the last person not to post.

Let me elaborate on your list, it is xorbie and myself, both of which have mentioned lynching you. And you are taking xorbie off, even though you did ask questions about his two lists yesterday.

I now feel that shorty is a good guy.

Traz, if we get towards the end of the day and there's little chance of you being elected, would you consider casting your vote for shorty? I'm still not convinced that you're good and a leap of faith on your part would most likely gain you votes in the future.

shortline99 01-17-2007 03:44 PM

Re: Election! - The Game Thread

clown, fmxda, IY, mdorand, and traz have not voted. if things remain as close as they are, it may be the wolves who will determine the electorate (or at least, who tiebreaks). fnord and stephen have 4 votes each, while we have a few people (including myself) tied up at around 3. traz can still vote for himself, which worries me because i don't really trust him all that much this game. so, if you have not voted, i would request that if you trust me more than traz at this stage of the game (and i think that you should) you vote me to the electorate along with what appears to be Fnord and Stephen. you'd be doing your country a great service. and, if you really want to see what i think about things this game, the best way to enforce my honesty is to put me on the electorate and make me commit to my opinions.
