I actually met Marcia Cross when I was an extra on the set of Desperate Housewives. Actually to be perfectly accurate I met her as I was leaving the set after a 12-hour shoot. She went out of her way to come over and tell me that I did a good job (I was seated at a table with Teri Hatcher and actually got some face time on camera, which is pretty rare for some random, non-union extra). Anyway extras pretty much get treated like subhumans on most shoots (sometimes deservedly as many extras aren't the brightest bulbs in the chandelier) so I will always have a soft spot in my heart for Marcia Cross even if she does play an uptight character on TV.
