I'm impressed with Esad's trolling.

It's a disappointment, esad always seems to make pretty decent posts in other forums, from what I can recall. This is like, borderline tragic.

He's getting older..... At a certain point the body starts to give it, you can't stop Father Time......If you look at comparable people like Hank Aaron or Willie Mays they both hit the wall in their early 40s. It's what happens to aging power hitters....Past performance does not guarantee future performance. Some of you are making an awful lot of assumptions about the future playing ability of someone approaching their mid-40s based on this years stats.

Almost the exact same things that were said last offseason about Bonds.

It's doesn't matter what your OPS is if you are not driving in or scoring runs for your team day in and day out.

You couldn't sound more like Joe Morgan here if you tried.

What good is a guy if he plays half your games but leads the league in OPS?

[/ QUOTE ]

Bonds has played in more than 80% of his team's games, and he leads both leagues in OPS.

Total ABs for Bonds in 2007 - 337

Total ABs for ARod in 2007 - 558

Rather hard to compete in raw numbers when your team can't score and you get walked more often than God.

At Bats per Homerun:

ARod - 10.7

Bonds - 12.0

Arod is having his best season ever and Barry still is hitting home runs at nearly the same rate.
