guys i'm not saying fwf is some friggin scammer. Or that he can't be trusted. Or anything like that. I simply don't think it's 'ok' or 'fine' to call someone in the middle of a hand because you don't know what to do. I was making the point that it's not the right thing to do. Coaching is something compeletely different obviously. And this issue is hardly drama bomb material.

FWIW, I never took this personally and I don't consider this a source of drama or animosity. But on a more academic note, saying coaching is completely different is insane: all coaching is is the same thing I did with Jay only for hours at a time instead of for one hand.

Yeah FWF/Ansky etc. are correct here, there really is no difference at all between being sweated by a coach and getting help on one random hand. If anything, coaching is obviously worse given you're doing it for a much longer period of time.

Would anyone in LA be willing to trade 8K-10K cash for FTP $$?

I can come to you. Withdraw + downswing + degen friends == online busto

If you are intown for Legends, I can come to the bike as well (and bring a laptop to do the transfer).

please elaborate. and i'm not being snide, i'd honestly like to know what makes coaching "something completely different" and, furthermore, how that difference is obvious.

maybe I am in the wrong here. It seems everyone disagrees with me so perhaps. I think I may have been wrong once before .

I've only been coached one time...by krantz last summer. During the session I played while he sweated. But I don't recall him ever telling me what to do while a hand was in progress let alone on the river when the betting was closed. I recall things like having AJo in the bb facing a pfr and me moving the mouse to call and him interrupting saying "I usually 3bet here because yada yada yada." And then after the hand or later on we'd discuss it. Or I would pfr 9 10s, a tight/passive would call and flop would come 10 7 4r I bet, passive calls. Then turn is 2. I check, passive bets and I think awhile and he would say something like "against a passive player your TP is no good here bc he never bets worse and rarely bluffs." We'd make a note and discuss it later. Maybe other coachings go the way of telling the student exactly what to do, what to bet, when to call, raise, etc. Maybe that's more effective and the standard way it's done. But it's not the way it was done with me. This is where I'm comiing from when I say that "coaching is completely different"...meaning that my coaching was different.

On the surface these types of things are similar with happened in the fwf hand where another player advises him on a call or fold. I don't have too much issue with that. My issue was him being stuck in a tough situation and picking up the phone to ask another player what to do on the river facing an all in.

Also, fwf...certainly no animosity. I think it's silly that it's been a few days and here I am posting in the thread again. But people asked me for more of an explaination and there it is. I may not in fact be "correct" here but I don't imagine that I'm completely "wrong" either.

Ansky,

going to London? Any idea if you or other people are planning on getting a house for ESOP + EPT London? People have talked about it a lot and Shaun Deeb and others seemed set on doing it, but now everyones being lazy and I'm worried it might not happen.

Regardless where is everyone staying in Barcelona, and is anyone else going from Turning Stone straight to Barcelona to have more time to enjoy the city?

Jeff,
I would reccomend buying a package thru stars, and staying in the hotel that comes with the package, that is what I am doing and I think a lot of other people are doing the same. And the hotel is supposed to be real close to the casino.
