Pie's definitely special, until the Cubs screw him up somehow.

Spoken like a true Cubs fan.

Pie strikes for a 3 run homer.

HOME RUN PIE!!!!

Big-Z was throwing as high as 96 in the first inning. Looks look he intends to show he can still throw 98 since he generally gets faster as the game goes on.

If he's serious, then what the hell has he been doing the first 2 months?

Just saw the line for Pie. That's so awesome. Thank God Patterson isn't here to "mentor" him like he was "mentored" by Sosa.

lol this team is so [censored] bad it's awesome

Seconded. This is almost as entertaining as, say, winning.

Any chance the NL Central winner makes it past the first round?

Cards have a shot when Carpenter and Mulder come back

after all, the Cards have more heart, experience, and leadership

I'll take talent over all of that which the Cubs have way more of. Prop bet?

Eric Patterson hasn't played 2nd in a week. The organization has asked him to play some LF. Of course, as a LF, Patterson has virtually no value.

This seems absurd, until you consider it's the Cubs we're talking about. Wouldn't want to groom a middle infielder, after all.
