My citi card account is locked because "your account may be at risk for unauthorized use." Further, "Note: The situation that resulted in risk to your account is under investigation by law enforcement agencies and we are unable to disclose specific information on this case."

I used to think our country (USA) wasn't so great, but it was the best country in the world. Now I'm not so sure about the second part.

If they stopped issuing cards on May 1, why was PokerStars recommending signing up through them in mid-May?

I signed up on 5/15 because Moneygram wasn't an option where I currently am. Everything seemed ok until I received the same "not issuing new cards" email this morning.

so if they stopped sending cards do we still use the default CCV code (whatever the 3 digit code on the back is called) that is listed on the website, even though it says it will expire when we "receive" our card? im assuming yes because i dont know what else to use

Does any of this affect a pre-existing user with a physical payTRU card?

In that case I am pretty sure you have to make a new one yourself.

Re: PayTRU Sucks!

Haven't read this whole thread so forgive me if it's been brought up already (and I brought it up in another thread).

But can anyone give a logical explanation how it's possible to just 'run out' of cards as appears to be their claim here.
That's pretty ridiculous if you ask me as I would assume such cards cost about $0.03 each to make (maybe less for the PayTru cards which seem a bit flimsier).

So this current situation where they are essentially declining to give out any new cards to new customers strikes me as bizarrely fishy.

It seems it might be more due to them not being able to handle all the additional customers or don't want to take on anymore 'risk' or something because it just seems way too ridiculous that it would have to do with them just having 'used up' their current allotment of cards and they somehow can't make anymore.

Because of this, I'm a bit concerned about PayTru right now because this just seems way too weird.

It's not that they are out of cards. They are out of stamps. USPS raised the prices and they haven't had a chance to go to the post office and get new ones. It's not in their budget.

A bit???? I took my money out yesterday. Us spreading rumors might actually make it come true.

If I had a card I might transfer $$ to the card and go to the ATM right away, but I'd never leave money with someone who has shown that keeping their customers informed is WAY down on their list.
