Vigilante is a villager who can kill at night (usually either 1 time or he has 3 attempts each having 50 percent chance of effectiveness). Serial killer is a neutral player who gets one kill a night. He wins by being the last one alive (basically like the wolves, he gets it down to him and someone else).

Thanks jared. So for the vigilante, 3 attempts has higher expected kills but higher variance.

Vigilantes usually kill people. This is the same as giving the village extra lynches for free.
